34.5 per cent full-year occupancy in Indian hotels in 2020: Horwath STR Report

Seven cities in India recorded a RevPAR below INR 1000 in 2020, according to a report by Horwath HTL and STR, indicating the devastating effect of the global pandemic on the hotel business in the country. These include key IT hubs of Bangalore, Pune, among others. While the RevPAR during the March - December period of 2020 for Ahmedabad hotels was INR 672, in Bangalore it was INR 729, as per the report.
